Crawford attends a hearing with Bloom ( Caroline Dhavernas) where an investigator for the Inspector General's Office, Kade Prurnell ( Cynthia Nixon), questions them. Their conversation reveals that Crawford is under investigation for misconduct on the case of Graham ( Hugh Dancy) and Lecter is also being put under investigation. Twelve weeks earlier, Lecter prepares Kaiseki for Crawford. Bleeding profusely, Crawford manages to lock himself in Lecter's pantry while Lecter, knife at hand, attempts to enter. However, Lecter is faking and stabs Crawford in the neck with a shard of glass. They then brutally fight, which appears to end when Crawford chokes him until he is unconscious.
